Timing

So just as I pay, with money I don't have, for 12 press releases for the novel Stonebridge Manor, I get an email from an agency. There has been nothing for weeks, no jobs, no hope. They want to put me forward for a job. For the next 12 weeks I'm hopefully going to get some responses from the media, or interviews. What if I get the job? One day into the new job, "So sorry, I won't be in for the rest of the week. I have to do some book signings and promotion." I need the job but do I want to ignore press calls? I've invested money into this and the book won't sell by itself, apart from the half dozen each month. As they say, timing is everything.
